Dance Music Library is a pilot launch, and the natural next step for Just Another Label (JAL). It will have a keen focus on discovering and developing promising new grass-roots talent in dance and contemporary youth-oriented music.

JAL’s founder and MD, Femi Olasehinde (AKA ‘Ola’) is uniquely placed to find and develop that talent. He’s spent 30 years working in creative industries (loving every minute). He’s still in touch with the street culture he grew up with. And because Ola – and JAL – walk the talk, they’ve become a trusted source of new, home-grown music. In fact they’ve licensed over 4,000 works to clients including Sonoton GMBH, Lemoncake, APM, Extreme, Carlin, Fable, Sony EMI, Warner Chappell, and BMG – to name just a few. (Winning an Ivor Novello Award for ‘Best Music for Television’ was a welcome bonus…)

That wealth of experience is now being put to even better use at DML – and we’re looking for sub-publishers right now. So don’t miss out. Give us a call on [number] to get your pick of the good stuff.

Dance Music, MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) and Quirk

The cream of the crop, from the grassroots

Dance Music Library – DML builds on JAL’s established reputation with users of Library Music. It’s been established to deliver a one-stop solution that offers a very different take on Electronic Dance and MOBO sounds. Not to mention a useful extra resource for quirky electronic music.

There’s our Drag and Drop range, a godsend for busy video editors. Old Skool: sounds from past (and present) that are sure to strike a chord. And our General Catalogue, packed with the music that has built our reputation.
