Library music is not necessarily about being original and innovative, just as much as it is not about how skilled you are at your instrument or production skills. It is more about what the industry wants, for you to have success, having a scientific approach to composing can be a big plus. What is generally used most is what sounds ‘familiar,’ like the music you would hear on the radio, popular TV programmes, or whatever other sources are on your listening radars.
